My art journey started at the age of eight and was filled with awe and wonder. That sense of wonder with light and colour is the driving force of my lifelong work to express the beauty of nature and my love of the land. The moments that take my breath away are the moments I want to paint. The energy of my brushwork is my signature that exudes my innermost thoughts. I leave myself open to respond in watercolour, acrylic, oils or pastel. I use drawing and painting to convey the importance of nature for our well being and to honour and protect it for future generations.

As an art instructor for over 30 years, the goal is always to inspire individual responses in art. I’ve designed and taught courses since 2013 for HSA+D on drawing, colour and composition inspiring 1000’s of students. My art practice includes solo/ group shows that have garnered many awards as a professional artist, and in 2018, a YWCA Muskoka Woman of Distinction Award in Art, Culture and Creativity.
