Juliana Paige Plukasz – Jewellery

Craig Fairley

Many of my design ideas are sparked by specific gemstones in my collection. Other inspirations stem from textures and motifs from my surrounding environment. After careful consideration of the logistics of the piece I saw/ bend/file/solder and polish pieces out of sterling silver sheet and wire. Oxidization of the silver allows me to contrast focal points of scenic pieces. I love adding texture and have a few favourite hammers that I rely on to achieve this. Periodically I use elements of copper and brass, which respond well to the patina formulas I’ve crafted, and when paired with sterling silver, give a pop of colour and uniqueness.

Creating out of my home studio in Huntsville, ON, my pieces range from everyday jewellery to wearable art. I pride myself on maintaining the highest standards of quality in every aspect of production, sourcing materials from companies with clear codes of conduct and utilizing eco-minded techniques in my studio.Whether it’s a delicate pair of earrings or a statement necklace, each creation is made with passion and precision, perfect for those who appreciate quality craftsmanship and the allure of nature.
